Kamuikotan
Kamuikotan means "village of God" in the Ainu language, and is a scenic spot with a 10-km stretch of strange rocks and monstrous stones along the rapids of the Ishikari River. The dark green and black rocks in the valley are called Kamuikotan rocks, and the Kamuikotan Hole Group, created by the torrent near the suspension bridge, was designated a natural monument by the city in 1966.
