Overview
Kamui Kotan is, in the Ainu language, meaning "Village of Gods", and is a scenic spot where strange rocks and grotesque rocks continue for approximately 10km along the rapids of the Ishikari River.
The valley's dark green and blackish rocks are called Kamui Kotan Stone, and also, in the suspension bridge's vicinity, there is the "Kamui Kotan Pothole Group" which the torrent creates, <in Shōwa 41 (1966), city's natural monument designation>.
