SPOT
Kamuikotan
Kamuikotan means "village of the gods" in the Ainu language, and is a scenic spot with strangely shaped rocks and stones stretching for about 10km along the rapids of the Ishikari River. The dark green and black rocks in the valley are called Kamuikotan stones, and near the suspension bridge there are the "Kamuikotan Cave Group," formed by the rapids (designated a natural monument of the city in 1966).
