Ginkgo Lane at Hokkaido University
Ginkgo trees line both sides of the road, Kita 13 jo Street on the campus of Hokkaido University. These ginkgo trees were planted around 1939. The ginkgo trees change their appearance to a green tunnel in summer and a golden tunnel in fall, delighting the eyes of visitors.
Fifty meters north of Ono Pond, there is a beautiful row of ginkgo trees facing east. You will just be heading toward the Kita-13 Gate. The road is about 380 meters long with 70 ginkgo trees planted on both sides, and their golden color in the fall is spectacular.
