Sapporo Snow Festival Museum
The Snow Festival started in 1950 with just six snow sculptures at Odori 7-chome Square, which was a snow dumping ground. At the Sapporo Snow Festival Museum, located on the grounds of the Sapporo Hitsujigaoka Observatory, you can see the history of the Snow Festival, which spans more than half a century, through panels, photos, snow sculpture models, and more. In addition, from December 21, 2024, a life-size statue of "Snow Miku," a character that supports Hokkaido, will also be exhibited.
