At public high schools within Hokkaido, being the sole food preparation department single-department school, Hokkaido Mikasa High School's students take charge of cooking and customer service, provide dishes and sweets to general customers, and hone their skills, it is a restaurant (training facility).
At "Magokoro Kitchen," which the cooking club operates, using high-quality ingredients from Hokkaido, including Mikasa City, and painstakingly prepared dishes, and at "Cherie" (Sherry), which the confectionery club operates, students are providing Western confectionery that they consistently carried out from prototyping to commercialization.
The facility name, wishing for students to greatly flap their wings towards their dreams, was given as "ESSOR" (Esōru), of the meaning of "soaring" in French.
