A large-scale commercial complex in front of Hakodate Station, marked by a large gate at the entrance and a giant, Instagram-worthy paper lantern. It houses many long-established local shops, making it a 'place packed with Hakodate' that you can experience right after arriving in the city.

It consists of three buildings: 'Station Side,' 'Gate Side,' and 'Square Side.' Arranged in a U-shape opening towards the station, it is designed with the hope that people will gather and relax around the Hiba arborvitae trees that add greenery to the HAKOVIVA Square (Community Plaza).

The first floor of the 'Square Side,' which catches the eye with its retro-modern exterior, is the 'Hakodate Ekimae Yokocho,' designed with an antique feel as if you've wandered into an old townscape. It features a variety of restaurants and souvenir shops offering sweets, seafood bowls, yakiniku (grilled meat), steak, and Genghis Khan. For seafood souvenirs, there is also a directly managed store selling processed marine products from within Hokkaido.

In the 'Gate Side,' immediately to the right after entering the main gate, there are two establishments perfect for a quick tea break or a satisfying noodle meal. The café of Petit Merveille, famous for its popular sweet 'Mel Cheese,' and Ganso Hakodate Ramen Onjiki Niwamoto offer their popular flavors.

The 'Station Side' houses La'gent Stay Hakodate Ekimae, which offers plans catering to both short and long-term travel styles. It has a total of 261 guest rooms designed with the concept of the warmth of the Japanese-Western eclectic style, a characteristic of Hakodate's culture. There is also a natural hot spring and a bar exclusively for hotel guests. A convenience store operates on the first floor.
