Symbol of Monbetsu

This park is located near the summit of 334-meter-high Mt. Monbetsu (commonly known as "Daisen"), and is the best vantage point in Monbetsu from which to view the cityscape and the Okhotsk Sea.
The park is accessible by car, and there is a walking trail where visitors can enjoy bird watching, forest bathing, and plant observation. There are also cottages in the park, where you can enjoy the outdoors with your family and friends on weekends.
The Sky Tower is a 31-meter-high observation tower that also serves as a TV tower, and has become a symbol of Mombetsu as it is clearly visible from the city center.
Visitors can take the elevator up to the tower and enjoy the view of the arc-shaped coastline and the mountains of Taisetsu from the observation room.
