Charatunai

Overview

A number of oddly shaped rocks of various sizes dot the coastline, creating an unusual landscape. The largest rock is called Mukaruso (meaning "Masakari Rock"), which cannot be seen from the land, but the Japanese called it "Window Rock" because it is hollow enough for a small boat to pass through at high tide. The name "Horai" comes from the fact that the path leads to Mt.
