Otaru City Literature Museum

The Otaru City Literary Museum is an important facility that not only collects and exhibits books, literary magazines, manuscripts, and materials by novelists, poets, tanka poets, and haiku poets with ties to Otaru, including Takiji Kobayashi and Sei Ito, but also passes on these valuable cultural assets to future generations.

In addition to the permanent exhibition, the museum also hosts special exhibitions, planned exhibitions, literary lectures, and literary walks to visit places related to authors and their works. There is also a cafe space (JJ's Café) inside the museum.
