Overview
Poroshiri is in Ainu language, "big mountain" meaning, and, Hidaka Mountains' highest peak (2,052m) is.
Japan's 100 Famous Mountains among is selected, and, climbing level as for, slope is steep, as upper-middle is said.
From the summit, in the glacial period formed Nanatsunuma Cirque and Mt. Meakan, Mt. Tokachi can be viewed, and, scenery only persons who climbed can experience spreads.
