Silo Observatory
The Silo Observatory is located on the western shore of Lake Toya in Hokkaido, at the edge of the land surrounding the lake. It is a scenic point offering a grand panorama of the brilliantly blue Lake Toya and its islands. You can enjoy a panoramic view of Lake Toya, as well as Nakajima Island, Mt. Usu, and Showa-shinzan.
In spring, you can enjoy the exquisite contrast of cherry and plum blossoms with Lake Toya. There are also cherry trees at the Silo Observatory.
The adjacent shop offers a wide range of products, from famous Hokkaido confections to local specialties and miscellaneous goods. On the 2nd floor, there is also a restaurant where you can dine while overlooking Lake Toya.
