Highland Koshimizu Campsite
Overview
Highland Koshimizu Campsite is a mountain campsite located at the end of Route 102 heading towards Abashiri from Koshimizu Pass on Mt. Mokoto. As you climb the slope from the road, you will see the administration building on your right and a parking lot at the back. The campsite covers an area of 32,000 square meters and is fully equipped with facilities such as a kitchen, toilets, a barbecue house, coin showers and washing machines. Even if you don't have a tent, you can stay in a bungalow that can sleep 6-7 people if you bring your own bedding.
This campsite boasts the starry sky that can only be seen in the mountains and the free Goemon bath. Also, on good early morning conditions, you can see the sea of clouds covering Lake Kussharo from the nearby Highland Koshimizu 725. This is a must-visit for those who want to enjoy the great outdoors of Hokkaido, which can only be experienced at a quiet campsite in the mountains.
