SPOT
Uzura Onsen
A western-style hot spring facility where the fragrance of hiba (Japanese cypress) harvested in southern Hokkaido enriches the bathing experience.
Located in a peaceful rural area with parks and open spaces nearby, this western-style hot spring facility can be seen by following the signs posted along National Route 227. Originally built as an accommodation and training facility for the Agricultural Revitalization Center, it also hosts events such as the "Fureai Farm" (rental farm) from spring to fall, the "Quail Hot Springs Festival" in summer, and the "Potato Digging Experience Farm" in fall.
The bathrooms, with sunlight streaming in through large windows, are bright and open with a white base color, and include a spacious bathtub, a Jacuzzi, a sauna made entirely of hiba wood, and a water bath. There is also a rest area in the facility where you can relax after taking a bath, and at the Chinese restaurant Saifutang, you can enjoy authentic Cantonese cuisine using fresh vegetables produced in Atsusawaabe and seafood caught in the Hiyama area.
Spring quality: Alkaline simple spring "Neuralgia, muscular pain, joint pain, bruises, chronic digestive diseases"
