SPOT
Sapporo TV Tower
Located at the eastern end of Odori Park, you can enjoy a 360° panoramic view of Sapporo.
Sapporo TV Tower was completed in 1956 at Nishi 1-chome, the starting point of Odori Park, which divides the center of Sapporo into north and south. Since its completion, it has been a landmark that has overseen the development of Sapporo for over half a century. In March 2025, it was designated as a national registered tangible cultural property.
From the observation deck, about 90 meters above ground, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery and events of Odori Park, which change with the seasons, and if the weather is good, you can also see the Ishikari Plain and the Sea of Japan. In particular, in the winter, when Odori Park is the venue for the White Illumination and Snow Festival, the observation deck is a special seat from which to view the scenery. A special plan that allows you to rent out the observation deck exclusively for 30 minutes after closing is also popular with couples and married couples (inquire beforehand).
At night, the TV tower is lit up brilliantly. You can enjoy various illuminations depending on the season and time of year. There are also plans for individual illuminations that will allow you to create precious memories. There is a gourmet court in the basement, and a souvenir shop and a shrine for TV tower character "TV Dad" on the observation deck.
