Okushiri Tsunami Museum
Overview
Opened in 2001, eight years after the disaster, the Okushiri Tsunami Museum was built to keep the memory of the disaster alive and to pass on the lessons learned to future generations.
The museum has seven themed exhibition spaces that tell the story of the disaster and the recovery process.

Adults: 520 yen, elementary, junior high and high school students: 170 yen
(For groups (10 or more people): Adults: 470 yen, elementary, junior high and high school students: 150 yen)
