Nakashibetsu Midorigaoka Forest Park Campsite
Overview
Midorigaoka Forest Park is a 57-hectare park located 30 minutes' walk (approximately 3 km) north of the city center, adjacent to the city center. It is a place of relaxation for the townspeople, equipped with camping facilities. The forest campsite is 16,800 square meters in size. In the center, there is a plaza and playground equipment. Most of the park is natural forest, and you can enjoy a variety of trees, mainly Japanese oak, white birch, katsura, and Japanese elm, throughout the four seasons. The forest trail in the park is 6 km long, and you can enjoy forest bathing while enjoying the changing terrain, such as a hill with a view of the town, a gazebo with a panoramic view of the Shiretoko mountain range, and a wooden walkway where you can observe the marsh flowers.
