SPOT
Seseki Onsen
Seseki Onsen is located about 22km north of Rausu City on Highway 87, about 2km from the dead end of the road to Aidomari.
The hot spring is not an inn, but simply a stone structure in the middle of the sea. It is a wild and dynamic hot spring that can be inaccessible (submerged in the sea at high tide) or too hot (because the 64°C spring water does not dilute at low tide) depending on the tide.
It became nationally known after its appearance in the TV drama "Kita no Kuni Kara" (From the North), and is visited by hot spring lovers and secluded hot spring lovers from all over Japan.
The Secchi Onsen requires a knack for entering, and we recommend that you visit related sites to gain knowledge before attempting to enter the onsen.
The hot springs are located on a property managed by kelp fishermen, so please speak only once when entering the hot springs. Please bathe in a moral manner.
