Ronald McDonald Has Vanished From Japan's Northernmost McDonald's! Where Could He Be?!
Asuka Shiromaru (@Asuka_Shiromaru), a manga artist based in Wakkanai, Japan's northernmost city, and creator of "Shiromaru's Northernmost Diary," had a daily routine of posting a picture with the caption, "This morning's northernmost clown," on Twitter and Instagram.
This is the McDonald's Route 40 Wakkanai store in Wakkanai, Hokkaido.
Known as "Japan's Northernmost McDonald's," this location features an outdoor bench where the mascot, Ronald McDonald, sits majestically. His presence has become a beloved local attraction.

He is currently undergoing repairs. The repairs are scheduled to be completed around July 15th.

To foster a sense of familiarity as a local McDonald's, we installed the Ronald McDonald bench as a commemorative feature, along with a monument for the northernmost McDonald's and the Golden Arches, at our Route 40 Wakkanai store.
