A Grand Collection of Hokkaido's Finest Kelp! What is the "Hokkaido Kombu Fair"?
Hokkaido-grown kombu (kelp) is prized as a "secret ingredient" that adds a delicious touch to many dishes. The "Hokkaido Kombu Fair," an event where you can discover the many charms of kombu and its various uses beyond just being a hidden flavor enhancer, kicked off on Wednesday, September 28th at the Kita Kitchen Aurora Town store.
A Full Lineup of Kombu from All Over Hokkaido!
A wide variety of Hokkaido kombu, including Rishiri, Rausu, Hidaka, Ma-kombu, and Hayani Kombu, are all gathered in one place. You'll also find an extensive selection of processed kombu products such as kombu dashi (kelp broth), tororo kombu (shaved kelp), tsukudani (simmered kombu), furikake (rice seasoning), shochu, and snacks. The "Kombu-zukushi Onigiri Set" (Assorted Kombu Rice Ball Set), priced at 594 yen (tax included), is a special deluxe set created for this event, featuring some of the actual products available for sale.
