1 J ozankei Onsen Town

Jozankei Onsen Town is dotted with beautiful bridges, even down to their names, that offer views of the rich forests and valleys of the national forests. The bright red Futami Suspension Bridge over the Futami Jozan Road is a popular scenic spot and has become a symbol of the hot spring resort area.

From the red Futami Suspension Bridge, walking along the nature trail surrounded by autumn leaves is a luxurious experience. The autumn leaves reflected on the surface of the water amid the murmuring of the river are magnificent.

2 Toyohirakyo Dam

Toyohirakyo Dam is one of the most popular autumn foliage viewing spots in Japan, and is also popular among foreign tourists. Visitors can view the majestic nature of Jozan Lake and Senjo Iwa and the scenic beauty of the arched dam, which is the best in Hokkaido.

3 Sapporo Kokusai Ski Resort

A comprehensive ski resort close to Jozankei Onsen. The 8-seater gondola used for winter skiing becomes the "Momiji Gondola" in autumn and takes you to the top of the mountain overlooking Ishikari Bay.

4 Jozankei Farm

This Sapporo orchard offers a variety of fruit picking and fishing until early November. In autumn, it is a popular spot for its spectacular 360-degree view of autumn foliage.

5 Hakkenzan

Hakkenzan is covered with deciduous broad-leaved forests of ezo itaya, linden, katsura and other trees, and many visitors come to enjoy the autumn leaves in the fall. At the foot of the mountain, Ezo elder trees also turn bright red.
