The fluffy and cute look will make your heart flutter! Animals change into their winter clothes
The end of autumn is the season for changing clothes for winter, and so do animals. The Sapporo Maruyama Zoo ( @marudou_fan ) recently posted a picture of a Siberian hare changing its clothes on Twitter, and the fluffy, cute appearance has soothed many people.

The fluffy white coat of the Ezo snow hare in winter looks just like snow. But did you know that its coat color changes from spring to autumn?
The summer fur of the Ezo snow hare is light brown. If you only see its winter appearance, it's hard to believe it's the same rabbit. Maruyama Zoo's official social media accounts also introduce other rabbits who are "changing their clothes," so let's take a look!
The plump and round Ezo raccoon dog. You'll just want to give it a big hug. In the summer, their fur is short and they look skinny, but in preparation for the winter when there is less food, not only do they gain more fur, but they also gain about 1.5 times their weight!
And the popular polar bears at Maruyama Zoo are also in their winter form. Polar bears are white all year round, but in winter they become a little plumper. Polar bear fur is hollow inside to increase the insulation effect. That's why they can survive in the extremely cold.
This is a raccoon. Its fluffy winter fur is so cute! At first glance, it may look like a raccoon dog, but if you look at its tail, you'll see that it has stripes.
The prairie dogs that live in North America are fluffy and round!! They all seem to be gathered together and keeping warm. In addition to these, the Hokkaido squirrels and Hokkaido flying squirrels also seem to be preparing for the coming winter.
What did you think? Why not dress warmly and head to Maruyama Zoo to see the fluffy animals? Seeing their adorable appearances will blow away the cold!
*Added on November 7, 2022 at 14:11 Breaking news! On November 4th, Maruyama Zoo reported on Twitter that "the Ezo snow hare has turned almost completely white!" It really is fluffy and soft, just like snow. It's all set for the cold winter.
