Shizunai Research Farm

Education and research are conducted on the vast grounds in Shinhidaka Town.

Hokudai Japanese Shorthorn Beef comes from Japanese Shorthorn cattle raised at the Shizunai Research Farm in Shizunai, Shinhidaka Town, Hokkaido. Researchers and students from all over the country visit the farm to conduct research in various fields, including animal husbandry.

Farm manager Mr. Kawai is also dedicated to welcoming visitors and trainees.

The meat from these cattle, raised through a sustainable, circular production system, is lean with a firm texture. The more you chew, the richer the umami flavor that spreads through your mouth.
