Fukinoto Bringing Spring (Rankoshi Town)
In mid-March, as it started to get warmer, I went out in search of spring.
I found this half-opened fukinoto (butterbur scape) by a field in Rankoshi Town where the snow had started to melt, and took a picture.
The fields and mountains in spring are so exciting.

A Kita-kitsune (Ezo Red Fox) Walking on the Snow (Biei Town)
This is a fox I encountered on the hills of Biei in late winter.
As spring approached, I could see more active foxes here and there.
Perhaps because it was dusk, I felt a sense of melancholy in its posture.
