Ebisu's Sarutahiko Coffee Makes its Hokkaido Debut! Featuring an Exclusive "Sapporo Blend" and Pre-Release Menu Items
Sarutahiko Coffee is a famous coffee shop that originated in Ebisu, Tokyo. What started as a small shop in 2011 has grown into a hugely popular chain with 17 locations in the Kanto region alone. You might have heard the name from their supervision of the "Georgia European" series, and now, Sarutahiko Coffee has opened its first branch in Sapporo, Hokkaido.
The D-LIFEPLACE Sapporo Store, Directly Connected to Chi-ka-ho, Had Long Lines from Day One
The first Hokkaido branch, "Sarutahiko Coffee D-LIFEPLACE Sapporo," opened on Thursday, November 23, 2023. The news of its first Hokkaido opening created a buzz, especially among coffee lovers, resulting in long lines on its opening day. The location is also very convenient, just a 4-minute walk from JR Sapporo Station, right near Sapporo Subway Station, and directly connected to "Chi-ka-ho" (Sapporo Ekimae-dori Underground Walkway), making it an easy stop.
Opened in the basement of the D-LIFEPLACE Sapporo office building, which opened in 2023

Given its location in an office district, the shop offers a full morning menu. The "Prosciutto and Cheese Panini," also a pre-release item, is a new addition to the weekday morning menu. Enjoy Carefully Selected Specialty Coffee in a Spacious Setting
The coffee served at Sarutahiko Coffee is a high-grade coffee known as "specialty coffee." To put it simply, specialty coffee is the coffee version of "farm-to-table vegetables." It's extremely high-quality coffee where you can trace which farmer grew the beans, and for some farms with even more detailed information, you can even find out which field and which specific plot the coffee was grown on.
Only coffee that meets a certain standard of flavor can be called "specialty coffee," so its deliciousness is guaranteed. Be sure to visit the shop and enjoy a cup.
