The post drew a flood of surprised comments on social media, such as:
"To think you can eat it without leaving any shell behind."
"I'd probably be silent while eating this."
"The crab miso was the finishing blow!"
"The craftsmanship is so intricate!"

We had the opportunity to speak with Ran (the "Bread Person") about the creation of this crab bread!

Q What inspired you to create a bread in the shape of a crab this time?

I've made various realistic seafood breads before, like tuna, salmon with ikura (salmon roe), oysters, and scallops. This time, I wanted to try making a type of seafood I hadn't attempted yet, so I decided on a crab.

Q The crab miso part is custard, but do the other parts have different flavors as well?

I used custard to represent the crab miso, but the other parts are just regular bread. They have different colors, but the flavor is the same.

Q The shell and the meat are different colors. How did you make them?

For the shell, I used a red bread dough colored with beets, and for the meat, I used a plain white bread dough.

These unique breads are crafted with intricate skill and manual labor. Ran has many other surprising creations, including scallops and tuna! Many people on social media are eagerly anticipating what kind of masterpiece will be next.
