Shirogane Blue Pond" is one of the popular sightseeing spots in Biei.
You can enjoy the beauty of nature throughout the year: the contrast between the blue surface of the water and the lush green trees in summer, the autumn leaves in fall, and the snowy scene on the frozen pond in winter.
The pond is also illuminated from November to April, so you will want to visit again and again!
Smiling striped eagles (Sapporo)
This is a Striped Egret that I encountered just as the first snow fell and winter was about to arrive in earnest.
They are called "snow fairies" because they turn white and fluffy in the middle of winter.
