Eat healthy. Plenty of carefully selected ingredients, mostly from Hokkaido.
If I cook by myself, I can try to make healthy food, but when I eat out, I can't choose the ingredients and nutritional balance. So I serve dishes and desserts with the intention of making our customers as healthy as possible. says owner Yuka. The rice is Yumepirika from Hokkaido, flour is from Tadanobu Yamamoto Shoten in Tokachi, oil is olive oil, sugar is beet sugar from Hokkaido, eggs are refined eggs from Kusanagi Farm in Tokachi, and other wonderful ingredients are selected mainly from Hokkaido.

RAPO CAFE offers a wide variety of lunch menus. The "One Plate Set" (980 yen) includes a waffle or rice ball with soybean rice made with whole wheat flour, natural yeast, and refined eggs, soy milk soup, and salad. Other regular menu items include the "Seasonal Vegetable Seiro Steamed Set" (1,100 yen), "Tomato Sauce" (980 yen) with homemade pasta carefully and painstakingly handmade with mozzarella cheese, eggplant and spinach, and "Soy Milk Cream" (980 yen) with shimeji mushrooms and spinach. You can also enjoy a different pasta dish each month.
The pasta used at the restaurant is surprisingly handmade every day. Every one of them is made with ingredients that are sure to bring you a boost of energy. Also, for those who are gluten-free, there is a menu item called "Gnocchi with Soy Milk" made with rice flour.

The waffles are made with our specialties, beet sugar (beet) and natural yeast. The use of butter instead of margarine is also a nice touch for those who are concerned about their health! The sweet aroma of the ingredients wafts through the air even before you eat it. The texture is somewhere between crispy and fluffy, more like moist than chunky, and the moderate sweetness will make your heart beat faster. The "natural yeast snack waffle" (820 yen) is topped with fruit, whipped cream, and chocolate sauce, making it a perfect snack time item on the cafe menu.
For drinks, the mildly sweet "Caramel Milk Tea" (480 yen) goes well with waffles. There is a park nearby called "Green Park" that is perfect for a stroll, so we recommend enjoying the outside while eating waffles there.

And the store is scheduled to be renovated in the fall of 2024. The location and concept of the store will remain the same, but the number of seats will be increased and the kitchen will be enhanced to make the space even more beautiful. In the past, seats were filled only by reservation, and customers who came on the same day had to leave, so they decided to increase the number of seats, saying, "If you have come all this way, we would like you to spend time at the cafe.
Also, although they currently do not offer anything other than waffles for takeout, they are planning to gradually increase the variety of takeout items. If you are ever in Obihiro, be sure to visit "rapo cafe," where the food, space, and ingredients are all very satisfying!
