Get into the Christmas spirit at the popular "Sapporo Factory 2024 Jumbo Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony"

When you think of Christmas events coming early to Sapporo, the Sapporo Factory's Jumbo Christmas Tree comes to mind! On Saturday, November 2nd, starting at 5:00 PM, a lighting ceremony will be held to illuminate the tree and the entire facility's decorations with a countdown. The approximately 15-meter-tall tree is decorated with about 50,000 LED lights and 1,500 ornaments. Every hour, a five-minute light and music show will take place, setting the Christmas mood in Sapporo.

See Chi-Ka-Ho and other venues adorned with art at "Sapporo Art Stage 2024"

This is a month-long festival where the city of Sapporo is colored with art, including fine arts, theater, and music. You can enjoy a wide variety of artistic events at various locations throughout Sapporo, centered around the Sapporo Ekimae-dori Underground Walkway (Chi-Ka-Ho) and the Sapporo Cultural Arts Community Center (SCARTS). This year marks its 20th anniversary, and it's packed with special projects like memorial workshops to further expand the circle of art.

The Blue Period Exhibition is also on! The hands-on manga exhibition "SAPPORO MANGA PARK"

At "SAPPORO MANGA PARK," held as a "hands-on manga exhibition," you can enjoy an exhibit showcasing works by manga artists associated with Hokkaido and Sapporo, a library featuring a collection of carefully selected, heart-touching manga, and workshops by creators active in Hokkaido. The "Blue Period Exhibition in Sapporo" is also being held exclusively on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays during this period.

This event explores new possibilities for urban development through music, sports, and talks, all taking place in a vacant lot at Odori Nishi 1-chome in Chuo-ku, Sapporo.
