A program unique to Sapporo, providing an irresistible experience for fans

This is the first time the Sapporo performance will be held.

--This will be the first time the event is being held in Sapporo, a city with a deep connection to Hatsune Miku.

Ikeda: It's very moving. Every year, we receive requests to hold the concert in Sapporo. If we were to hold the concert in Sapporo, we wanted it to take place during the "Snow Miku" season, so we had to make strict schedule adjustments. We were really lucky and happy that the concert could be held in the year of the 10th anniversary. This Sapporo performance will be a classical concert style with only live music. Saki Fujita, who voices the character Hatsune Miku, will also participate as the MC. I was born in Hokkaido and my parents' house is in Sapporo, so I have a special feeling for this place.

--I'm curious about the performance program. Are there any performances that will only be performed in Sapporo?

Ikeda: For our previous concerts, we have had many different people write theme songs for us. For our 10th anniversary theme song, "Play On," we asked Mitchie M, who composed the first year's theme song, "Future Overture." The Sapporo concert will be the first time it will be performed. The biggest attraction will be a medley of all the official Snow Miku theme songs from 2014 to 2024. This will only be performed at the Sapporo concert, and the medley is a luxurious performance that will last nearly 20 minutes. We hope you enjoy it.

--I believe that the presence of conductor Hirofumi Kurita has played a major role in gaining so many fans and celebrating the 10th anniversary.

Ikeda: He is truly a contributor to this concert. He is an indispensable figure in its history. He has a sense of humor and has captured the hearts of his fans, but above all, his performances are passionate. I think it was because of that passion that he was accepted by fans who are passionate about Hatsune Miku. Mr. Kurita himself is very busy with various concerts other than Hatsune Miku, so I would like to express my respect for him for leading the Hatsune Miku Symphony stage for 10 years and ask for your continued support! I heard that you like alcohol, so I would love to ask you about the Hatsune Miku Symphony and other private stories at a party after the performance (laughs).

--Finally, please tell us about your enthusiasm for your first Sapporo concert, which will be the first of your 10th anniversary concerts.

Ikeda: I'm happy that we can hold our first Sapporo concert on the occasion of our 10th anniversary. Sapporo is a huge tourist city, and I think it is a cultural city where culture like Hatsune Miku is deeply rooted, as can be seen at the airport and other places. I hope that this concert will contribute to the culture of Sapporo. Since it is our first time, I have both expectations and anxiety, but I would like to make it a success.
