This morning in Kamifurano. Diamond dust appeared for the first time in a while!

Quoted from @yoshihiro_abiko's post
What was captured on the video was the mysterious sight of diamond dust! The video was taken in Kamifurano, located almost in the center of Hokkaido. The video, taken outdoors in the dim winter light, clearly captures the glittering diamond dust. When the video was posted on social media, it received over 30,000 likes, with comments such as "I'm moved by the beauty" and "It's beautiful no matter when you look at it."
Diamond dust is beautiful no matter how many times you see it - why does it occur?

Yasuhiko has photographed diamond dust many times in the past.
The video was shot by photographer Yoshihiro Yasuhiko, who lives in Kamifurano. He visited several locations in Kamifurano and successfully filmed the scene at around 7:15 on a very cold morning. Yasuhiko said of the beauty of this diamond dust, "I've seen diamond dust many times before, but every time I see it I'm so moved that I get goosebumps." He filmed in a quiet place with few people around, so he was able to slowly enjoy the beauty.
The diamond dust was beautiful today too. It was -16 degrees. pic.twitter.com/iKXASnR0vZ

The next day, I managed to capture some diamond dust as well.
Diamond dust is a natural phenomenon that occurs when water vapor in the atmosphere freezes and reflects sunlight when temperatures drop below -10°C. It is particularly likely to occur during the coldest periods of the year, when temperatures drop below -15°C, and can be seen on clear, windless mornings. It can also be seen in the Furano region of Hokkaido from January to February, and Yasuhiko has captured the beauty of diamond dust many times in the past.
