Enjoy wine and music under the sweet scent of lilacs at the Sapporo Lilac Festival
The Lilac Festival, which heralds the arrival of early summer in Sapporo, will be held this weekend. Various events can be enjoyed at each venue, such as the Lilac Wine Garden 2025, where you can taste Hokkaido wine while the venue is decorated with purple, pink, and white lilacs, and the Lilac Terrace 2025, where you can enjoy sweets and light meals surrounded by greenery.

"Takino Outdoor Picnic 2025" offers a variety of activities to enjoy in nature
In addition to the latest outdoor goods and campervans on display and for sale, there will be plenty of outdoor activities that allow you to move your body to your heart's content in nature! Explore the venue and have fun with the climbing walls, slacklines, soft play equipment, and more.
The picnic gourmet area will feature a collection of unique food trucks from all over Hokkaido! Spread a sheet on the grass and enjoy a spring picnic. The East Exit Rest Area will also feature the "Working Cars Exhibition," which is popular with children. The whole family can enjoy watching disaster relief workers and garbage collection trucks up close and experiencing the work.

"Art Forest Marche Yahya Cafe" is a warm space created by students and the local community
This community market is held in front of the Sapporo City University Art Forest Campus in Minami-ku, Sapporo, and is created by students together with the local community. There are many different events, such as the "Forest Morning Market" where farmers and local shops gather, the sale of goods designed by students, and "Viva", a play area that can be enjoyed by people of all ages, from children to adults.
You can enjoy interactions and experiences that are unique to the area while purchasing local delicacies and having lots of physical fun.
