1 〈View Point〉Sairo Observatory

Drive along Route 230 from Sapporo to Lake Toya.
The "Silo Observatory," marked by silos along the road, is an observatory located on a hill on the west shore of Lake Toya. It is a superb viewpoint from which you can see not only Lake Toya, but also Nakajima, Usuyama, Showa Shinzan, and other mountains.
As a popular photo spot for SNS, it is crowded with many tourists regardless of the season.

2 〈Scenic Cafe〉Tsukitsuki Canadian Club

On a clear day, the wooden deck of this restaurant offers a spectacular view of Lake Toya, and the restaurant is the Tsutsuki Canadian Club, with its log house exterior. The restaurant is nestled among the trees and out of the way of the hustle and bustle.
The popular hamburger steak is mouthwatering with the tenderness of golden pork and the juices of beef. Be sure to experience the clear, sweet air and the sounds of the winter forest.

3 Showa Shinzan and Masao Mimatsu Memorial Museum

Mt. Showa Shinzan is a landmark in the Toya Usu Geopark, along with Mt. As a volcano that was born out of a field during the Showa Period, its origins are also interesting.
At the foot of the volcano is the Mimatsu Masao Memorial Museum, where visitors can learn about the symbiosis between people and volcanoes and disaster prevention. Every February, the "Showa Shinzan International Snowball Fight" is held on Showa Shinzan, and the heated battle of snowballs flying over each other is a spectacular sight.

TOYACAFE Coffee Roasting Factory is an old house renovated into a cute little cafe on the shores of Lake Toya. As you enter the store, the beautiful view of Lake Toya through the window is a sight to behold.
The freshly roasted beans are made from fair trade products and organic green beans only, and are roasted to order, making them aromatic and very tasty. The owner, Kaya Nagatomo, who is also a volcano meister, is a pleasure to talk with.

5 Sobetsu Fruit Village

Sobetsu Town is one of the most famous fruit-growing areas in Hokkaido. Sobetsu Fruit Village" is a village of tourist farms established in 1987 by young people from 23 orchards in Sobetsu.
With a strong desire to "let consumers know truly delicious fruits," each orchard grows its own special fruits with great care.

This route was a dynamic route where you could feel the power of the earth and the richness of nature. There were many wonderful spots where you could enjoy the "scenery" of the rich land and the "food" produced by the earth at the same time!
