4 Onuma National Park
Onuma National Park is a 9,000-hectare natural park located in the center of the Watashima Peninsula, which has been selected as one of the three most scenic spots in Japan. Komagatake, an active volcano, can be seen from the vast park, and 126 small and large islands float in the Onuma Swamp, where boats and sightseeing boats can be enjoyed. After the snow melts, from early to late April, we recommend viewing the beautiful white Mizubasho (Asian skunk-cabbage) blooming in the wetlands by the lake near the Higashi-Onuma Campsite.
