1 The popular autumn event is back! Savor warm, fluffy roasted sweet potatoes at the Sapporo Yakiimo Terrace 2025

First held in 2023 and attracting about 60,000 visitors in 2024, the "Sapporo Yakiimo Terrace," an event themed around the autumn delicacy of roasted sweet potatoes, is returning to Nakajima Park this year. The event will feature a record nine roasted sweet potato booths, along with sweets booths, kitchen cars, and about 20 vendors in total, including those selling sweet potato-based alcoholic beverages and fresh produce directly from farmers.

Vendors will be gathered from Sapporo and its suburbs, with some new participants from Tokachi and even Kyoto. In addition to various types of roasted sweet potatoes prepared using different methods like pot-roasting and stone-roasting, there will be a rich lineup of sweet potato desserts such as sweet potato pies, cakes, and churros. At the retro Showa-era "kaku-uchi" style standing bar, you can enjoy a tipsy mood with sweet potato shochu, craft beer, and unique snacks.

2 A gathering of seasonal vegetables, sweets, and processed goods from all over Hokkaido: the Hokudai Marche

Under the theme of "Bringing Hokkaido's Food and Agriculture to the People," this market sells agricultural products and goods from Hokkaido. Led by students from Hokkaido University, the event features a wide array of fresh seasonal vegetables, sweets, and processed goods from the finalists of the past "Hokudai Marche Awards." It's a great opportunity to deepen your understanding of food and agriculture by talking directly with producers from all over the prefecture.

3 Enjoy Halloween-exclusive sweets and events at Shiroi Koibito Park Nya Halloween ~30th Anniversary~

The annual autumn Halloween event is now underway at Sapporo's popular tourist spot, "Shiroi Koibito Park." The park is filled with a Halloween atmosphere, featuring limited-edition sweets and menu items with black cat and horror themes. Look out for limited-time treats like the "Black Cat's Magical Fondue" and the popular ISHIYA Pancake transformed into a Halloween version, the "ISHIYA Pancake Halloween."

There are also plenty of hands-on activities, including cookie decorating and chocolate pie sandwich making workshops, as well as a mission-based horror event at night. On October 25th and 26th, children in costume get free admission, and there will be special activities for kids like a "Candy Hunt."
