Located in the heart of Sapporo, the Sapporo Grand Hotel opened as Hokkaido's first authentic Western-style hotel. With its restaurants and bakery, it is readily accessible not only to staying guests but also to many local citizens. Especially popular is the lunch buffet at the Northern Terrace Diner on the hotel's first floor.
The Popular Buffet Offers a Choice of About 40 Different Dishes!
Currently (from January to February 28, 2026), a French Fair is being held.
The spacious and serene Northern Terrace Diner is surrounded by an L-shaped open kitchen, featuring about 40 different dishes. The culinary theme changes approximately every two months, offering an attractive lineup that reflects the seasons. On Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, they also offer an all-you-can-eat roast beef. Additionally, you can order à la carte dishes that are the hotel's pride, such as Japanese Black beef steak and beef stew.

An Irresistibly Gentle Sweetness! The "Snow Miku Snow Dome" Collaboration Sweet with Snow Miku
The limited-time collaboration sweet with Snow Miku, "Snow Miku Snow Dome," is 1,800 yen. Takeout is 700 yen.
The restaurant offers a variety of sweets, but the one to watch for this winter is the "Snow Miku Snow Dome," a collaboration between the Hokkaido-supporting character "Snow Miku" and the culinary craftsmanship of the Grand Hotel. This dessert combines a white chocolate and French cream cheese mousse with a "Galette Bretonne," a traditional thick butter cookie from the Brittany region of France.
The crispy and crumbly texture of the Galette Bretonne and the smooth feel of the mousse are a perfect match, and a gentle sweetness fills your mouth.
"We thoroughly considered not just the taste, but also the balance of texture and appearance," says Chef Takada, who created the recipe.
The collaboration sweet comes with a coaster (7 types in total, chosen at random *for payments of 1,000 yen or more) and a pick featuring an illustration of Snow Miku (2024 costume design). Takeout is also available. Be sure to savor this delicious collaboration created by a historic hotel.
