1 Chocolat Promenade 2026 at Daimaru Sapporo: A Chocolate Festival with Over 100 Brands

This is one of Hokkaido's largest chocolate festivals, bringing together everything from world-renowned chocolatiers and brands showcasing Japan's unique sensibilities to chocolates from right here in Hokkaido. The event features a wide variety of chocolates, including brands making their debut at Daimaru Sapporo, famous international brands exuding tradition and luxury, unique imported chocolates from around the globe, and Japanese-made chocolates that shine with local ingredients and creativity.

Look out for brands making their first appearance at Daimaru Sapporo and live demonstrations.

The event also features "CHOCOLAT PLACE," with a rotating weekly lineup, character-themed chocolates that are too cute to resist, and soft-serve ice cream made with chocolate and tea available from live demonstration stalls. There will also be exhibitors from within Hokkaido, selling chocolates that incorporate local ingredients, such as chocolates made with Hokkaido milk powder and bonbons using roses from Eniwa. Sapporo Tokyu Department Store will be filled with Valentine's Day chocolates and limited-edition sweets, mainly on its basement floor. In addition to special venues and event spaces, various confectionery shops will offer products unique to this season.

4 Sapporo Grand Hotel Valentine Collection 2026: Savor Chocolate Sweets at a Historic Hotel

The Sapporo Grand Hotel, founded in 1934, will be offering sweets exclusive to the Valentine's season from February 1st to 28th. The entire hotel will be enveloped in a Valentine's mood, with everything from takeaway sweets to desserts, afternoon tea, and a sweets buffet available at its lounge and restaurants.
