If you've come all the way to Hokkaido for a trip, why not choose a place to stay that is truly Hokkaido-like?
For example, a guesthouse that stands alone in a place surrounded by nature might be nice.
Tomorrow's Castle, located in the Soya region of northern Hokkaido, is just such an accommodation facility.
Not only is the name rather unique, but the lovely exterior of the inn is also very appealing.
Let's go there with our hearts filled with anticipation.
Tomorrow's Castle is located on a small hill in the Sarobetsu Plains. You can see at a glance how surrounded it is by nature from an aerial photograph.
It is a guesthouse built in the middle of nothing, simply the vastness of nature. And it is this "simply the vastness of nature" that is the greatest charm of Ashita no Shiro. Take a deep breath of fresh air, gaze blankly at the morning sun rising over the Sarobetsu plains, listen to the chirps of wild birds, and look up at the star-filled night sky... It reminds us that to fully enjoy Hokkaido is to fully enjoy nature.
Of course, the surroundings change drastically depending on the season you stay. Guests enjoy each season, traveling around Hokkaido on motorbikes in the summer, and snow activities like snowshoeing in the winter. The owner, who is originally from Nagasaki, opened the inn in 1977, and there are many long-time regulars. By the way, it's a bit surprising that the owner is not a fan of the manga "Ashita no Joe"!

Ashita no Shiro has private rooms and dormitories (shared rooms for men and women), both of which are only for sleeping. The only TV is in the dining room/hall on the first floor, where you can enjoy meals with other guests. However, please note that meals will not be provided until the COVID-19 pandemic is contained (as of May 2021).
It's a fun inn with a unique owner and the opportunity to interact with the other guests, so we hope that the inn will be able to return to normal business as soon as possible.
