Why don't you visit "Heiwa no Taki", a waterfall in Sapporo that you can easily visit and be healed?
In recent years, Sapporo has been experiencing extremely hot summers. How about going to see a waterfall as one of the countermeasures against such heat? In fact, there are many waterfalls in the suburbs of Sapporo.
Among them, we would like to introduce "Heiwa no Taki" located in Nishi Ward.
Why not refresh yourself with plenty of negative ions while being surrounded by nature?
The best thing about Heiwa-no-taki Falls is that it is easy to visit. Located near the entrance to the Mt. Teine trailhead in Nishi Ward, it is fully equipped with a parking lot, and there are also stairs leading down to the waterfall just outside the parking lot. Once you descend the stairs, the waterfall you are looking for, Peace Falls, will appear right in front of you.
The waterfall, with a drop of 10 meters, cascades down in three stages. In summer, visitors can enjoy a summer retreat amidst abundant greenery. In the fall, the leaves turn beautiful colors, making it a great date spot for a drive.
In winter, however, the area is covered with snow, making it difficult to see the boundary between the river and the ground, which can be dangerous. It is not the best place to see a spectacular icefall, and the parking lot is closed during the winter, but those who want to see a beautiful snowy landscape may want to visit.
Peace Falls has a somewhat familiar charm rather than a powerful waterfall. Since it is close to downtown Sapporo, many citizens may have visited here on a field trip. Whenever you feel a little tired, why don't you remember Heiwa-no-taki Falls? A visit to Heiwa Falls will surely heal you.
