Lavender Festa Kamifurano" is being held at Hinode Park in Kamifurano Town from July 10! The highlight of the festival is the lighting up of the lavender fields at night. Kamifurano Town has established the lavender as the town flower, but its cultivation began in 1948. Later, its cultivation for tourism flourished, and in 1981 it was officially designated as the town flower. This year marks the 40th anniversary of its establishment.
"Lavender Festa Kami Furano 2021" will be held until Sunday, July 18. Lavenders will be illuminated from 19:00 to 21:00 except on July 17.

On Saturday, July 17, a mini live performance by voice actress Yui Makino, who is also Kamifurano Town's PR ambassador, and a fireworks display will be available online. (No admission to the venue on the day of the 17th. In case of rain, the event will be postponed to the 18th).
