Benten Island from Above (Tomari Village)
Benten Island, located between two tunnels, was a stop on a journey.
Viewing it from above reveals the entire island along with the Shakotan Blue sea, and the road built along the coast makes you feel the grandeur of the Earth.

Benten Island, located across from Sakazuki Beach in Tomari Village, is close to the Shakotan Peninsula, offering views of the beautiful Shakotan Blue sea!
It is also known as a legendary island, and it's said that many people visit this power spot to pray for fertility or to find a good partner. 👏
It would also be lovely to view it from your car while on a drive. 🚗

There are various theories about the origin of salmon toba; one is that it began with the Ainu people drying salmon, and another is that it's called "toba" (冬葉, winter leaves) because it was dried in winter. 🐟
It can be considered a seasonal tradition in Hokkaido as winter approaches!
Just looking at the photo, you can almost smell the salmon toba. ✨
'Horomai Station,' the Setting of a Film (Minamifurano Town)
This station was used as "Horomai Station" in the movie "Railroad Man (Poppoya)" and has remained out of service since being affected by a typhoon in 2016.
I love its slightly melancholic atmosphere, which makes you feel as if a train might arrive at any moment!
