開拓先人への感謝の意と十勝岳の鎮魂、まちの発展を祈念して毎年7月24日に開催しています。
十勝岳望岳台より運ばれた御神火は大松明に点火され、町内を行進した後、美瑛神社に奉納されます。町の若者たちが燃える松明を担ぎ行進する迫力満点の姿をご覧ください。
