From December 26, 2024 to March 31, 2025, "Firefly Street" at Hoshino Resort Tomamu, a nature wonder resort where you can feel the land of Hokkaido, will hold "Ski-in Ski-out Kotatsu Lounge" where you can warm yourself with a kotatsu and enjoy oden with kombu dashi soup. The "Ski in Ski out Kotatsu Lounge" will be held again this winter. Firefly Street is a ski-in ski-out village with 9 stores where you can enjoy eating and shopping. While warming up with a kotatsu in front of the snowy scenery, you can enjoy oden with Hokkaido's unique kombu soup stock, including seafood and wild vegetables. This winter, you can enjoy après-ski at the "Oden Bar," where you can have a drink before dinner.

Background
Firefly Street, where this event will be held, was established in 2017 as Japan's first (*1) ski-in ski-out village, and in December 2021, the "Ski-in Ski-out Kotatsu Beer Terrace" was held in hopes of providing a special experience to warm up in a kotatsu while on the slopes. The following year, the event was held at the "Ski in Ski out Kotatsu Beer Terrace. The following year, we held the "Ski in Ski out Kotatsu Lounge," which served local oden dishes unique to Hokkaido, with the hope that many generations, from children to adults, would enjoy the experience. This winter, the "Oden Bar" was introduced in hopes of encouraging people to participate in after-ski events as well. Oden skewers that can be ordered from a single skewer are available, as well as sake from Hokkaido that combines the delicious flavor of kombu (kelp) and seafood with oden broth.

During the event, kotatsu lounges will appear on the open terrace of Firefly Street. Located halfway up the slope, visitors can ski or snowboard down to the storefront. This winter, lights will be installed on the terrace and kotatsu at night. In a warmly lit space with snow light, you can enjoy oden and sake with your family and friends.

This winter, an Oden bar will appear in the cafe & bar "Tsukino". This bar serves oden skewers made with seafood and wild vegetables, as well as Hokkaido sake, wine, beer, and other alcoholic beverages. Oden skewers, which can be ordered from a single skewer, combine a variety of seafood such as shrimp and salmon with wild vegetables such as butterbur and bamboo shoots. We recommend enjoying the oden skewers with dashiwari sake, which is a combination of oden soup stock with kombu (kelp). You can spend your après-ski time while savoring Hokkaido's typical oden and sake.

We offer oden unique to Hokkaido to warm you up from the inside out while you warm up with a kotatsu (a Japanese low table over a kotatsu). The "Special Oden Nabe" offers a rich variety of oden, including gorgeous seafood such as crab and shrimp, as well as wild vegetables such as butterbur and bamboo shoots. Salmon roe, crabmeat, wasabi and yuzu miso will be offered as garnish. The many ingredients can be savored to the last while enjoying the change of flavors with the garnishes.
