Overview

Under the cherry blossoms in full bloom in Nenohi Park, you can enjoy charcoal-grilled seafood such as local specialties oysters and clams. Various events are also held on Sundays during the festival.

<Event>
・Catch Akkeshi's famous oysters
This is a popular event where participants put on rubber gloves and grab large oysters, a specialty of Akkeshi, with one hand. Anyone over junior high school age can participate, and some participants even manage to grab 5-6 oysters.
・Clam-catching for kids
This is an event for children where they can grab large clams in a fish tank with both hands full. The clams have been de-sanded, so you can eat them by grilling them over a charcoal fire at the venue! You can also take them home and make clam soup!
・Kakijima Benten Shrine Illumination (2 days only, May 10th (Sat) and 17th (Sat))

Other items include chocolate bananas, toys, crepes, alcoholic beverages, etc.
