The annual Nayoro City Astronomical Observatory festival "Kitasubaru Star and Music Gathering" is a packed event with stars, music, and talk shows. This year, it will be held to commemorate "Hokkaido Everyone's Day."

<Kimaroki Festival tie-up project>
■Exhibition of space development and astronomical phenomena from 50 years ago
The "Kimaroki Festival" will be held at Hokkoku Museum from July 19th to 21st to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the exhibition and preservation of the steam locomotive snow-clearing train Kimaroki. As a linked project to this festival, we will exhibit space development and astronomical phenomena from 50 years ago (around 1975) along with the scrapbook of the late Hideo Kihara, the foundation of this observatory.

In conjunction with the "Kimaroki Festival" to be held at the Nayoro City Hokkoku Museum from July 19th to 21st, customers who purchase the original tote bag available only during this period will receive a free can badge (limited to 200 sets). If you purchase an original tote bag (800 yen) at either the Hokkoku Museum or the Nayoro City Astronomical Observatory between July 19th and 21st, you will receive an original can badge from each facility when you visit the respective facility.
