Aniu Joy Park
"Aniu Joy Park" is a transportation memorial complex registered as "Roadside Station Okoppe," the 29th roadside station in Hokkaido, which was rebuilt on the site of the former Okoppe Station along Route 239 following the discontinuation of the JR Nayoro Line.
In addition to an exhibition area featuring the history of the railroad, the "Aniu" also has a bus waiting area, an event hall, and is crowded with visiting tourists and townspeople. During the summer, the town's specialty products are on sale, attracting many visitors from inside and outside of the town.
The large park called "Joy Park," with its wheel sculpture, fountain, waterway, lawn, and stage, is a place for the town's residents to relax, and is also used as a venue for events such as summer festivals.
Rugosa Express" is a simple rest stop and lodging facility located in Joy Park, and is open free of charge during the period from May to October. It is popular with riders and bicyclists, and sometimes more than 20 people a day use it."
