SPOT
This cape is located between Yubu and Koube. It is about 11 km from the city center of Yubu Town and 11 km from the roadside station in Koube. It takes about 20 minutes by car. As you can see from its name "Hinode," it is a place where you can see the beautiful sunrise on the Sea of Okhotsk.
At the tip of the cape is an all-glass observation deck called La Luna (The Moon), which is two stories high so you can look out over the Sea of Okhotsk spread out before you, and there are also binoculars available for free. The view is spectacular not only in summer, but also during the drift ice season in February, when it is coldest in Yubu, and the drift ice is right in front of your eyes.
There is a town-managed camp site near La Luna. It opens on June 1 every year.
