Kawayu Visitor Center
A "palette of woods" connecting people with nature
This facility introduces the beautiful nature, history, and highlights of Kawayu Onsen and the surrounding area in an easy-to-understand manner. There is also a craft corner and various exhibits for adults and small children to enjoy.
The museum is built with an abundance of wood to create a sense of openness, and on the first floor there is a lounge with a fireplace, a relaxing space where visitors can read a book while gazing out at a forest of red spruce trees, and a children's corner. It is a perfect place to take a break before or after a stroll. There is also a café space on the second floor of the building where visitors can enjoy a cup of tea while looking out through a large glass window.
Outdoor wear can be rented inside the building, which is convenient if you need to go for a stroll on a moment's notice.
