Inashibetsu Falls

Inashibetsu Falls are located in the upper reaches of Inashibetsu Stream, a tributary of the Yubugawa River. Although only about 10 meters high, the water volume is large, and the sight of it cascading down the almost vertical rock face is dynamic and powerful.
From National Route 238, take the Mibuka-Yubu Road Route 238 in the direction of Mibuka for about 10 km, and you will see a unique sign in the shape of an owl. Turn at the intersection at this sign and follow the Inashibetsu Forest Road for about 1.2 kilometers until you come to a roadside gate at the fork in the road.
From this point onward, you will need to obtain a permit to enter the forest, but you can walk up the forest road about 300 meters upstream to see the sign for the waterfall, which is about 70 meters down the trail from the sign. (For inquiries about entering the forest, please contact the Administration Section, Administration Division.
