Hokkaido Archives
Overview
The Hokkaido Archives is a facility where visitors can directly hold and read documents and records related to the history of Hokkaido. The archives mainly hold documents of the current Hokkaido Government and its predecessor administrative agencies, as well as private documents, maps, and photographs. The Hakodate Magistrate's Office documents and Kaitakushi (Hokkaido Development Commissioner) documents are designated as National Important Cultural Properties.
