This facility was established by the Ministry of the Environment as a center for connecting people and nature, and is managed and operated by Abashiri City and others.
It provides information to learn about and enjoy the importance of wetlands and nature through exhibits, videos, and commentary on the nature, history, culture, and use of the Lake Taohebi area.
Binoculars and telescopes are available for casual bird-watching.
