Waves Boiling Lake (Tofutsuko・White Bird Park)
On November 8, 2005, on, Uganda's capital Kampala, in which was held the "9th Ramsar Convention Contracting Parties Conference", at, Lake Tofutsu was Ramsar registered wetland as officially decided.
From Okhotsk's coastline, Lake Tofutsu, spreading along the national road, is one of Okhotsk's representative landscapes. Around October, it is an observation point for whooper swans flying in. Close by, whooper swans and other ducks can be observed.
In summer, in Lake Tofutsu's wetland area, blackberry lilies grow in clusters and ponies are being pastured, and a pastoral landscape is formed, becoming an excellent photo-taking spot.
Blackberry lilies have toxicity, so ponies never eat them. Focusing on that point, and, as part of blackberry lilies' conservation activities, ponies and other horses are grazed and weeds are made to be eaten, aiming for blackberry lilies' vegetation recovery.
